The firm was
established on February 1, 1988 and has been at its present location since June 1, 1989.
The goal of the firm is to provide practical as well as legal advice and service as efficiently as possible.
We are committed to excellent service.
I began practice on February 1, 1988. I received
my Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University in May of 1987. I passed the Washington State Bar Examination the first
time and was sworn in for state court purposes on October 28, 1987 and in the Federal District Court for the Western
District of Washington on December 18, 1987. I am a member in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association and
the Kitsap County Bar Association. I am the official Chair of the "unofficial" Debtors' Attorneys'
Bar for West Sound (a group of bankruptcy attorneys who generally represent debtors who meet occasionally throughout the year.)
I received my BA in Germanics with Honors from the University of Washington in 1983.
Prior to practicing
law, I worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, beginning as a Helper General and working my way up to a Metals Inspector (WG-11).
Prior to working at PSNS, I served in the United States Army for nearly five years. I was a volunteer
(with a draft number of 351). I am a Viet Nam Era veteran, but never served in Viet Nam. Instead, I served
in the largest potential POW camp in the world - Berlin, Germany! I was a Russian linguist, having graduated from
the Defense Language Institute, Presidio of Monterey, Monterey, California with honors after 47 weeks of intensive language
training. While in service, I held a top secret cryptologic clearance and was awarded the following medals: Army
Commendation Medal, Good Conduct, Berlin Occupation and National Service.
I have been happily married
to my sweetheart for 35 years. I have three children and two grandchildren.
I believe that my life
experiences have uniquely prepared me to help my clients. I look forward to meeting you and serving you!
